Yesterday was Pentecost Sunday, the seventh Sunday after Easter. It’s the day set aside to commemorate the supernatural event described in the second chapter of Acts, when the Holy Spirit came upon believers just as Jesus had promised.
I served on the prayer team at a community-wide gathering hosted by my local church last night. Our extended time of worship centered on thanking, praising and calling on the third person of the Trinity.
The supernatural activity of the Holy Spirit in our midst last night made me think of the memory verse I chose for today. I truly appreciate the qualities of the Holy Spirit mentioned in John 14:26, and frequently ask for “Holy Spirit reminders” according to this promise. What do you need to be reminded of today?
