Maybe you’ve seen Christian YouTube channels that post “I hear the Lord saying this…”
I’m not a prophet, but I do have insight into what you can expect in the future.
No matter what lies ahead, God is already there.
I’ve learned that a prophetic word can be foretelling or forthtelling. I’m not a “foreteller” I don’t predict the future.
But God has gifted me through His Holy Spirit to be a forthteller, which means I speak about things God has already spoken about. I offer insight into the things God revealed long ago, and I point out what I hear the Lord saying to us today.
Let’s take a moment to read Psalm 139:5-10 (NIV) to see what secrets it reveals about what we can expect.
You hem me in behind and before,
and you lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too lofty for me to attain.
Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
So, what is the secret?
No matter what lies ahead, God is already there.
God is self-existent, eternal, and constant. He isn’t bound by time or space. He transcends our linear dimension and surrounds us. Even if we tried, we couldn’t get away from God.
The first thing I hear the Lord saying is:
“I am with you to bless you.”
GOD WILL DO WHAT HE SAYS HE WILL DO.
Even if we wander away from His perfect plan, He will never give up on His purpose for us.
I also hear the Lord saying,
“I am with you to guide you.”
CONFIRMATION FOLLOWS OBEDIENCE.
As a forthteller, I believe God wants us believing, speaking this: No matter what lies ahead, God is already there.
No matter what tomorrow holds, I plan to look at the future with all the wisdom of my years and all the expectations of my youth.
NO ONE IS TOO YOUNG OR TOO OLD TO DO GREAT THINGS WITH GOD.
Unbound by the limits of time and space, God goes before you into the future. And because He hems you in—behind and before–God’s got your back too. No matter what’s in store, God will be with you to bless you, guide you and support you.
